Lucy’s second spider
Don’t know how many times in the past month, I have said, “What are you doing?” or “What have you done?”

After 3 months, Lucy must have figured out she can do no wrong. Thought we got past the ‘in trouble behavior’. As in, leave this alone or quit scratching on the furniture.
No end to what this little one can destroy. I should have kept a box for destroyed toys, just to recall the day I found them laying there on the floor in pieces. I cut several tails off mice toys as she has become obsessed with chewing on them. Don’t need her ingesting material.
Lily’s Birthday Bash

Lily turned a year old on March 1, 2021. She arrived at our house 3 months ago. How quickly the time flies.
Hard to believe we went 7 months without a cat to grace our home. Now we have 2 wild fun loving cats.
From a Cat’s Perspective

Lily, getting ready to jump.
The flying squirrel, aka Lily, has been pushing her limits with us.
She wanted to get on top of the 6-foot shelf in the office. Many attempts, with a firm ‘NO’ have gone on deaf ears. She has big ones, so I know she can hear.
Persistence finally landed her on top. Bolted up with a flash before I could abort the leap.
Back and forth she went as I tried to grab her. Hoped the scare of being dragged off the top might discourage future jumps. NOPE… not in the least.
We had been fighting this crazy adventure of hers for weeks. I guess she decided the day arrived to conquer the unknown.

Lily on left, Lucy on right.
Three weeks ago, we became a multi-cat family again. Last time we had 2 was January 2015. But no kittens since 1998.
Were we prepared? Not sure. We thought so. Are these 2 more of a challenge? Perhaps.
Cute helps. Lots of laughter is an antidote to pulling out your hair.
One was a handful. Didn’t think number 2 kitten could be too much trouble. Together, they are keeping us on our toes. More than we ever imagined.

Lucy blue point Siamese
A wee kitten at 4 months. She was the smallest in the litter. My request was the one with the best personality. Hands down, she is full of love and plenty of spunk. Perhaps when you are the smallest, you try harder.
The old days I remember with newborn kittens. They pushed and shoved each other to get milk.
The breeder insisted I put her in a closed room. Suggested the bathroom. After 10 minutes, there was a crash, bang. Wondering what I might encounter when the door was open. Horrors, she was going nuts. She was flying off the walls and jumped to the window. For a little cat, it surprised me how she reached such a height. Continue reading
