Dust free is a plus when it comes to cats and keeping your house clean. This is a clumping corn cob litter. I’ve never used any litter that clumps. Never felt a need to do so. With the corn cob litters it seems most of the urine settles in the bottom of the box. Thus whipping away the odor of cat pee. The clumping would definitely keep it confined to wherever they go. Hoping they don’t decide to go nuts on scattering it. But I do see the value to have clumping litter. The only issue I have ever had with the thoughts of clumping, was will they get the litter on their feet and then wash their paws, ingesting it, and will this cause issues in their gut. Just a thought. But as long as you check out the product and always ask your vet what their opinion is and make your decision based on your findings.
I like the corn cob litter and much prefer it over clay. I visited a breeders home that used clay litter and even before I got into her house, I could smell cat pee. She would take the numerous litter boxes out to her patio and wash them, airing them out in the sun. Still smelled like cat pee. I use the corn cob litter and the boxes never smell like cat pee. It really seems to matter what litter you use. Maybe the abrasive nature of clay got into the litter box fibers and the urine permanently absorbed into them.
