Why not adopt a cat?
Ah, the controversy. The argument is powerful for this scenario.
Too many unwanted pets waiting for a new home. I agree.
I didn’t create the unwanted kittens.
And I can explain my stand on this topic.
Lots of unwanted children in foster homes and shelters. You want children, why not adopt or at least foster them? I 100% admire those that take on this challenge. Most will not. They want their own children. I prefer to choose my own cats to find the perfect match to bring harmony in the home.
Responsible pet ownership comes with many long-term commitments. Are you up for the challenge?
Can you afford to feed them, especially if they need a special diet?
Vet bills can be expensive if they get sick.
Are you prepared to keep them indoors, away from dangers? Cars, dogs, wild animals are a threat to cats?
Responsible Cat Ownership
Outside cats encounter fleas, poisons, such as anti-freeze, poisoned rodents, fertilizers on grass, weed killers. Our own property may be free from those dangers. But cats will wander to the neighbors. And you have no control over their yard.
Cats kept inside don’t run into the above scenarios. Life span of indoor cats is usually much longer than outdoor ones. So keep your furry family member inside for the healthiest existence. They won’t miss the outside if they never experience it. You can’t miss what you don’t know exists. Continue reading
Furniture Being Destroyed by the Family Pet?

Lucy loves to scratch on the tightly woven rugs. Not much of an issue. Questioning how much damage is done and is there sufficient reason to stop her? She wasn’t interested in the tight woven carpet on the scratching board.
The carpet she has chosen isn’t expensive. No evidence of the ritual of daily abusive attacks. Keeping her claws clipped helps. Continue reading
Bissell Products for Cleaning Floors, Carpets, and Furniture
There comes a day you have to decide it’s retirement time for those antiquated relics. Those shoved away in a room. Only to be reminded how poorly they are functioning when dragged out to perform their duties.
Dragged out the old carpet cleaner. It ran but no water reached the carpet brush or the furniture hose. Refused to have it repaired.
Lesson learned from doing that many years ago. Yes, he got it running… but at the shop were sewing and embroidery machines. I ended up walking out with half the price of a car. Cheaper now to just replace the beast. Continue reading
