Carpets, Cats, and Sofa Cushions
June 2021

Cats enjoying their new jungle.
Ah kids, the carpet stains remain from the previous cat. We tried cleaning it and yet it still comes back.
So serious stuff now. I have read to clean with hot water first. Sure, just as you might pre-soak a stain before you throw it in the machine for laundering.

I dragged out the shampooer to proceed with the past due project. Only to find although it ran, no water came out. Hmm… dry shampooing is not what I had in mind. Tried the upholstery attachment, thinking maybe the water might divert to that and I can jump start the brushes at the bottom.
Mischievous Siamese Cats
May 2021

Lucy’s second spider
Don’t know how many times in the past month, I have said, “What are you doing?” or “What have you done?”
Lucy Blue Point Siamese
After 3 months, Lucy must have figured out she can do no wrong. Thought we got past the ‘in trouble behavior’. As in, leave this alone or quit scratching on the furniture.
No end to what this little one can destroy. I should have kept a box for destroyed toys, just to recall the day I found them laying there on the floor in pieces. I cut several tails off mice toys as she has become obsessed with chewing on them. Don’t need her ingesting material.
Spay Day or Was It?>
My account of the day:

Lily after surgery
Tuesday, 3-30-2021, Lily scheduled to be spayed. The anguish a cat parent feels exists when you have to take your unsuspected little one in for the procedure.
“Why am I not getting breakfast?”
“Why is Lucy eating and not me?”

You see their questions in the expressions and muttered meows. Heartbroken, you know it has to be done.
Then the worries. Under anesthesia. What if things don’t go well? Try to block those negative thoughts.
Hey, it happens every day across the world. Why should a healthy cat have problems?
Office Help

Unwanted computer help
Nice to have cats close by… but they can be more help than needed.
Walked across my keyboard. Sap and what happened? I am left with a letter at the top of my page. Said a quick prayer and hoped my back arrow returned the 700+ words I just finished. Breathing a sigh of relief and returning the culprit to the floor. “Scoot, don’t need your help if this is what you are going to do.”
Half my time spent in front of the keyboard is juggling one or both cats on my lap or behind me on the chair. If they just stay in one spot, it makes my endeavors much easier. Continue reading
Lily’s Birthday Bash
3-6-2021
Lily turned a year old on March 1, 2021. She arrived at our house 3 months ago. How quickly the time flies.
Hard to believe we went 7 months without a cat to grace our home. Now we have 2 wild fun loving cats.
